Android 4.4.3: These smart phones get the update KitKat

Yet Android 4.4.3 is not ready, but the distribution of the update to the latest version of KitKat will no longer be long in coming. In our overview, we now show the smartphones that will get the update in any case, and those that are at least as hot contender for an update.

That the new features of Android 4.4.3 will take place mainly under the hood and it will probably be no major changes to user interface or features, we have already reported . Nevertheless, updates are (almost) always good, and bug fixes are also welcome.
So, when will the update and which devices get it? Officially there is no information to, our survey is therefore based on evaluations of rumors and leaks in recent weeks and on our own estimates. Changes are therefore not excluded, please consider that when reading.

Nexus and Google Play Edition

As safe as the Amen in church: The Nexus 5 gets Android 4.4.3
In May, the update will arrive at the first Nexus devices, about the most sources agree. 5 Nexus and Nexus 7 (2013) will certainly be among the first to receive the update. Nexus and Nexus 4 to 10 according to various sources also get the new firmware, as the first Nexus 7 The various Google Play editions of HTC, Samsung or Sony get the update a little later - in this country but they are unfortunately still not regular available.

Flagship first: The Galaxy S5 gets also ensure the new Android version.
The Galaxy S5 gets Android 4.4.3 with security, let there be no doubt. When the update comes, is another matter. Almost certainly, it is also that the Galaxy S4 and the score 3 get the new version of Android. However, after the quarrels about the last update to 4.4.2 KitKat one should not hope that the distribution goes too quickly across the stage. Owner of the mark 2 and S3 probably get no more update for them is likely to be 4.4.2 final with Android.

M8 and M7: both get the new firmware later than July.
With HTC the matter is simple: high-end devices from this and last year received the update pretty sure - that was confirmed date of HTC speci LlabTooFeR . The M8 is therefore in the May / June off the M7 will follow up in July. For One and One mini max, there is no information after both have until early April to get the KitKat update, but the next update might take some time. One can also assume that the two still get Android 4.4.3.

Sony

Z1 and Z2: Even when Sony are likely the last two flagships get the update.
At Sony, the case appears similar clear: The Xperia Z2 gets the update with security, the Xperia Z1 and the Z1 Compact, we can also assume that both will receive the new software. When Xperia Z Ultra the question marks are already bigger, even if recently already a Z was spotted from the Google Play Ultra Edition with Android 4.4.3. Still skeptical we are the Xperia Z, which has to date not even get KitKat, even when first screen shots have surfaced.

LG

lg g2 test 5
From LG, there is no top model for 2014, but the G2 is expected to get an update.
The high-end series of LG, which operates under the name G is currently manageable: The G2 is expected to get the update, as well as the G2 Mini, which ever is available with us only recently. Whether the G3, which will be officially presented to the end of May ( the message ), already comes with Android 4.4.3, is open, but unlikely - here is likely an update but nothing stand in the way. Since LG has in the past, but not exactly covered itself in terms of upgrade policy with glory, we venture for the middle-class and beginners not have a prognosis.

Motorola

moto x 9 test
While Motorola is no longer part of Google, but quick fixes are still expected.
The Moto G was one of the first non-Nexus smartphones running Android 4.4.2 - in the presentation of Motorola had promised a quick update and respected. Meanwhile, Motorola is no longer part of the Google empire, but still the Group intends to rely on pure Android. This also benefits quick update - therefore we assume that G and Moto Moto X will also receive a timely update to the new Android version.
