LG G Watch is water resistant and the display stays on

LG has called further details on G Watch: The running Google's Android Wear ongoing SmartWatch has a display that will be permanently switched on. In addition, the watch should have a dust-and water-resistant case. You should come in July for around 220 euros on the market.

Still, there are not many details on G Watch from LG, first information show some peculiarities of smart wristwatch: So the G Watch has according to LG a display that is permanently turned on in order to see all the status information comfortably. It is still unclear how this will affect the battery life.

For other smart watches, which are commercially available at present, the display will dim after a time either on or just displays some basic information. For more information watch the display must be turned on. This allows the SmartWatch be used at least a few days on a single charge.

As a further detail LG announced that the body of the G Watch water and repels dust. So it should be protected against splashing water. Whether the SmartWatch can also be used when swimming, is not yet known.

G Watch planned for July

LG told Pocket-Lint that the G Watch more will come on the market in July 2014. As a price around 220 euros are planned for the UK market, price and sales data for Germany are not yet known.

Mid-March 2014, Google had for Smart Android Watches Wear presented. In general, the watches information on weather, traffic, as well as news and as fast consumable data in map form are similar to Google Now Show. Also chats should be possible.

Watch with Voice Control

The intelligent wrist watches should be capable of using voice control. The operating system supports a number of inputs sensors that can be accommodated in the watch and other hardware. They also work together with the entrained smartphone.
