Pimp my volume buttons: So does your smartphone what you want

In smartphones sometimes offer incredible powers and possibilities, just waiting to be awakened - often needs it for no more than the right app. The volume buttons, for example, can be assigned with a little tweak with all sorts of functions. How this is done, we show you here.

The app for pimping the volume keys is called Quick Click and is free in the Play Store. With their help, you can start your arbitrary actions by your sets an arbitrary click sequence. Example: A double press on the volume quieter button starts the camera and take a picture.

The following actions are available:

•  Take a photo or video
•  Turn on flashlight
•  Record audio
•  Write text message
•  Make the call
•  Open Task Manager
•  On / off of individual functions from the Quick Settings
•  Launch any app

The operation of the app is basically self-explanatory, step by step, it guides the user through the storage of new actions. In the home screen, all previously saved actions are listed, an on / off switch indicates whether the app is running and "listening".

Creating new actions. 

After you have selected an action, you can specify the click patterns, with which it is to be started.Here you have the choice of 1-6 clicks, where the volume up and the Leister key can be combined.

Then you can click the sequence to start the function set, some actions also offer more setting possibilities.

In the settings reached your on the three-point button at the top right, you can customize the behavior of the app even further. To save battery life, for example, you can QuickClick run only when the screen can, or only when the display is off. Also, the time between two clicks can be set here. Every action can also be enabled or disabled separately.

In the settings menu, there are other options for fine adjustment of QuickClick.
